All Fur Education

This fully integrated education program is a collaboration between the local pet rescue and school districts.

The program offers mutual benefit by:

  • Connecting students with pets to encourage social healing, increase educational engagement and align age appropriate learning with philanthropic advocacy
  • Engaging students and their families to become involved in sharing the responsibility of caring for the communities homeless pets and spark interest in the next generation to pursue career paths in which promote pet welfare through advocation and innovation

The Process

Discussion began with motivating teachers to approach the Board of Education for next steps and requirements.  A formal proposal was presented to the District Superintendent followed by questioning the integrity and long term sustainability of the program as a fully integrative education program. Upon approval, teachers began integrating pet welfare content into their current lesson plans.
